survival kit

my dad was all about being prepared, so here are some resources/people/literature that have helped me walk this path

sara rian – grief writer & therapist

megan devine – author & grief advocate

  • book: it’s ok that you’re not ok
  • journal: how to carry what can’t be fixed
    • a guided journal companion to her book.
  • podcast: it’s ok that you’re not ok

daily meditations for working through grief

  • book: healing after loss by martha w. hickman

suicide loss support group

  • i did not find my specific support group on AFSP but this is a great place to start looking — my group is in person because online just isn’t the best fit for me
  • grief groups can be beneficial, but suicide loss is a different kind of grief, so i would suggest a suicide support group over a grief group
  • i have found this incredibly helpful on days when i feel completely alone
